Center Head Start Reports

Center Head Start wants all its community members to be informed and involved in the activites that affect the Head Start Program. You will have the opportunity to review many of our federal reports on this website.

Constant quality improvement is a key element to Center Head Start’s educational services to the Center Community. A yearly program wide self-assessment assures our clients that we are doing our very best to meet the Federal Performance Standards and providing the children and families in Saguache County a quality school-readiness program.

Performance Standards clearly state that grantee agencies like the Center Head Start must conduct yearly self-assessments to ensure that they are meeting program goals and objectives and are implementing federal regulations. These self-assessments are done with the consultation and participation of the staff, governing board, policy council and other community members as needed.

When completed, self-assessment results are used to develop program goals, desired outcomes and action plans to improve the workings within the program.

This document is prepared annually by an outside indepenndent audit firm which conducts an official financial examination of our organization's accounts, and is available for public inspection.

This is an annual report that goes out to the public that lets everyone in the community know how the program is conducting its day-to-day opperations in regards to fiscal, education, family, and nutrition and health.
